Pricing and purchases
Is QuizBao free?
Yes. The free version never expires: one bank of your own with up to 100 questions (the sample banks don't count), Excel and text import, adding questions by hand, practice mode, retrying mistakes, favorites, notes and basic statistics.
What does the full version add, and how much is it?
Unlimited banks and questions; Word, PDF and ZIP import; mock exams, study and mastery modes; spaced review and weak-spot analysis; exports and more — see Features. You can buy a 7-day pass, which does not renew, or a one-time lifetime purchase. There is no subscription. The price for your country is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you pay.
Is there a free trial?
Eligible devices can claim a 1-day trial of the full version in the app. It never starts by itself. When it ends you go back to the free version and keep all your banks and records.
How do I get my purchase back on a new phone?
Install QuizBao, then use Restore purchases in Settings. On iPhone and iPad use the same Apple ID you bought with; on Android use the same Google account. Your questions are a separate matter — see “How do I move my banks to another device?”.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. For the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, follow Google Play's refund process or contact us. When a refund goes through, the purchase is removed from the app.
Your data
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is needed. Practice works fully offline. You need a connection to claim a trial, make or restore a purchase, use AI features, and for an occasional license check.
Where are my questions stored? Can I lose them?
Your banks, answers and notes are stored on your device, not on our servers. That also means deleting the app deletes them, so export a backup from Settings from time to time. On iPhone and iPad you can also turn on backup to your own iCloud.
How do I move my banks to another device?
Export a backup file in Settings, send it to the new device (AirDrop, email, a cloud drive) and open it in QuizBao, or choose Restore backup under Import. The free version restores backups of one bank with up to 100 questions.
What happens to my files when I use AI?
Only the content the feature needs is sent, over HTTPS, to our servers and the AI model providers named in the privacy policy. Uploaded files are deleted after 7 days and results after 30. The AI study report sends statistics only, never question text. See the privacy policy.
Importing and using QuizBao
Which files can I import?
Excel (.xlsx / .xls), Word (.docx / .doc), PDFs with selectable text, plain text, JSON from other quiz apps, ZIP files with images, and text you paste. Scans and photos go through AI Import. The import guide shows how to lay out each one.
My questions were split or matched wrongly. What can I do?
Fix them in the preview before importing: edit a question, re-split it from the original text, or apply a batch fix. You can also edit any question later. If a file keeps going wrong, send it to us and we will look at it.
Does QuizBao come with question banks?
QuizBao is a tool for your own material. It includes sample banks so you can try every feature, but it doesn't sell question banks.
Which languages does it support?
The app is available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and follows your phone's language unless you choose one in Settings. Question banks can be in any of these languages.
AI features
How do AI points work?
Points are bought in the app and never expire. They are separate from the full version: you can use AI features on the free version too. Each job shows its price before it starts, and pages that contain no questions or fail to process are refunded automatically.
